USFBL - 2010 - 12th No Hitter!

Barry Zito(1-0) thrilled the fans at Tropicana Field as he crafted a no-hit master piece against the Carbondale Jungle Dogs. The Lewiston Sea Dogs won by a final score of 6 to 0.

Zito had overwhelming stuff tonight. He simply never gave the Carbondale batters a decent pitch to drive. He walked just one Carbondale batter. What an evening for the fans. They were on the edge of their seats from the 7th inning on. With every out, the electricity in the air mounted. Lewiston finished with 11 hits in the victory.

Roy Oswalt(0-1) absorbed the loss. It took a while to pry Zito way from his teammates as they all wanted to show their appreciation and joy. Finally, however, Mike Bonneau got to offer his own congratulations with a big bear hug and the comment, 'That was one of the best pitched games I have seen in all my years in baseball - Zito was masterful out there tonight!'
