Amaretto fans certainly got their money's worth at Comerica Park. Jason
Bere(2-9) pitched a rare no-hitter as the Gulf Coast Hurricanes toppled the
Amaretto Slammers 11 to 0.

Bere had an evening to remember. He walked 5 Amaretto batters. The tension
started to build around the 6th inning. By the 9th inning the crowd was
electrified. Gulf Coast had many opportunities throughout the game and
scored in 6 separate innings.

Ismael Valdes(2-8) was charged with the loss. Gulf Coast scored big getting 7
runs off him in 4 and 2/3 innings. What a show!' Greg Welch said. 'Bere was
great out there -- I'm happy that he go it.'
