USFBL - 2010 - 13th No-Hitter!

Dillon Gee(1-0) was on top of his game in Chicago as he tossed a beauty of a no-hitter against the Chicago Orphans. The Misty Mountain Hoppers won by a score of 3 to 1.

Although disappointed to see the hometown team lose, the fans certainly were appropriately impressed with the dominating, no-hit performance of Gee. He walked 8 Chicago batters. The Misty Mountain players and coaches started to leave Gee alone with his thoughts after the game reached the 7th inning. By the time the 9th inning rolled around, you could hear a pin drop every time he went to his wind-up - and an explosion after every out. Misty Mountain had a total of 10 hits for the game.

Gio Gonzalez(2-2) was tagged with the loss. Gee was in a jubilant mood after the game. 'If I'd known I was going to throw a no hitter I would have gotten a haircut!' he said, much to the delight of the clubhouse gathering.
