USFBL - 2012 - 14th No Hitter!

The Illinois Farmers pitching staff gave the fans an evening that they'll never forget by tossing a combined no-hitter! The tension started to build around the 6th inning.  By the 9th inning the crowd was electrified.
Illinois banged out 14 hits on the night.

The winning pitcher was Trevor Cahill(7-9) who allowed no runs in 7 innings.  Mike Fiers(6-8) absorbed the loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 9 hits and 5 walks in 6 innings.

'You probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than this happening,' said Cahill who got credit for the win, 'I don't expect it to sink in for awhile.' he said. 'You know, it's hard to say who was better, the
starter or the bullpen!'

USFBL - 2012 - 15th No-Hitter!

John Danks(2-3) thrilled the fans at Petco Park as he crafted a no-hit masterpiece against the Hawaii Poi Pounders.  The Kansas City Fountains won by a final score of 1 to 0.

Danks was obviously at the top of his game as he set the Hawaii batters down like so many dominoes.  He walked 6 Hawaii batters.  The Kansas City players and coaches started to leave Danks alone with his thoughts after the game reached the 7th inning.  By the time the 9th inning rolled around, you could
hear a pin drop every time he went to his wind-up - and an explosion after every out.  Hawaii was set down quietly in the bottom of the 9th.

Vance Worley(4-11) was the losing pitcher.  After the game, Danks was heard to say, 'This is something I have dreamt about since I was a little boy - to have it come true is just amazing!'
